Summer Honey Harvest

July 14, 2016 South Mountain Bees

This is my favorite time of the year.  After rationing the Fall crop for the past eight months, nothing beats the aroma of freshly harvested honey. We are lucky to have black locust, chestnuts and linden trees in our area that allow the bees to make the most amazing honey. Yes, we got stung a few times, but it is all part of our beekeeping adventure.
