It was a rough winter for beekeepers in our area, many of us lost many colonies. Our bees arrived from California via Pennsylvania yesterday. They come in these boxes with food for the journey, a queen in a small cage and about 6000 bees.
Here you see them in the trunk of our car.
They are now in our back yard. You can see them at the front porch of their new home. We hope they survive the cold spell of the next few days.
